It Starts with You.

You ultimately determine our process: How involved do you need or want us to be? How complex is the situation you need help with? At what stage of life are you in? Our process begins with getting to know you and your goals, and making sure you understand our business. First we will determine what level of help fits your situation, then we’ll get started.

We believe a detailed planning process can be one of the most effective ways to establish financial security. An effective plan may not only provide financial security throughout your life, but it can also reduce the damage that disability, critical illness, or other sudden losses of income can produce.

Generally speaking, we use a five-step process. You may need all five, or you may not.

1.  Where are you now?
2. Where do you want to be, and when?
3. Can you get there?
4. How will we get you to your goal, including identifying obstacles and planning to avoid them.
5. Periodic review to see if we are on course or if we need to make adjustments.

1. Initial Meeting

In our first meeting, we'll mutually establish what your expectations are for us, and what level of help you need. Do you need help with a specific situation, like rolling over an old 401k, or an in-depth financial plan? In short, together we’ll determine which of the five steps are needed. If your situation is simple — and we all agree we’re a good fit for one another — a solution could be implemented during this initial meeting. For a more complex situation, additional planning will be needed. We will ask you to provide more detailed information by completing a questionnaire for our next meeting.

2. Planning and Initial Action Meeting

After our first meeting, we'll take a deeper dive into your situation. Before this second meeting, we will have already reviewed your completed questionnaire and possibly additional financial documents. If we all agree that a written financial plan is desirable, then we’ll discuss the scope of the planning agreement, so we all know what to expect from it. If a plan is not necessary, we should have the necessary information to recommend action. The nature of that action will vary greatly but will reflect your personal situation.

If a written financial plan is not needed for your situation, we can skip straight to step 4.

3. Detailed Plan

At this stage, we’ll understand where you are, where you want to be and when you want to be there. We can now deliver an easy-to-follow roadmap that will guide you toward your financial goals, and lay out our involvement in managing your wealth. This plan will address the areas that are most important to you and outline the steps needed to conquer potential obstacles. Your personalized plan will aim to gain maximum returns via a solid, tax-efficient portfolio, while minimizing your risks.

4. Ongoing Support & Advice

You don’t have to do this alone — we will be with you every step of the way. Life is constantly changing, and your goals may change too. When new priorities lead you towards different needs and approaches to wealth management and savings, we'll be here to adapt your plan and our management accordingly, so they transition along with you.
